February Favourites

Hi everyone, this is the first ever favourites post I have done, since I only started my blog this month.
So here are a run-down of all the beauty products I have been loving this month!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 'True Ivory' - £7.99
Real Techniques Buffing Brush - part of the 'Core Collection' £21.99

I have never been so in love with a drugstore/highstreet foundation. The Rimmel wake me up foundation gives medium, buildable coverage and a lovely dewy, illuminated finish. The Real Techniques buffing brush is also fantastic, I apply my foundation with it every day now and always get a really even finish. Just lovely. So yes, big thumbs up for this combination!

Sleek Makeup lipstick in 'Liqueur' - £4.99
Topshop lipstick in 'Infrared' - £7.99
MAC lipstick in 'Creme Cup' - £14.00

For me, February was definitely the month for expanding my lipstick collection. If any of you read my 'March wishlist' post, you would have seen that there were 3 MAC lipsticks on there, and I MIGHT have purchased all 3 already and its only the 4th. You can probably tell I've used 'Liqueur' quite a lot, its a really wearable pinky nude shade and it has a nice moisturing formula. 'Infrared' featured in my first ever blog post, when I decided to be bolder with my lipstick choices and went for a bright orange. This is definitely one of my favourite lip colours that I own, I really want some more Topshop lipsticks as I only have this one and 'Rio Rio' (an orangey red) so far. And finally, my favourite of my three MAC purchases, 'Creme Cup' which is a really creamy baby pink colour and it smells bloody delicious too! Like vanilla.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - currently £32.40 at Debenams, usually £36.00

Possibly the worst quality photo you've ever seen of the naked palette? Well I'm sure you've seen it before, if you don't own it yourself as it is somewhat of a cult beauty product now, I got it for Christmas off my boyfriend and it is the best eyeshadow palette I've ever had. My most-used shades are probably 'buck' (a pale matte brown), 'smog' (a brown shimmer), 'half baked' (a gold shimmer) and 'virgin' (pale cream/white colour used as a highlight under the brow bone and in my tear ducts).

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in 'Lace - £10.00

Sleek makeup does have some great, reasonably-priced products don't they? This blush palette is definitely one of their best. The colours are really pigmented. I often wear the first two colours (the peach shade and the pale pink shade), I haven't tried the brighter pink shade yet as it looks a bit scary but I think if it's applied lightly it might look nice so I will give it a go at some point!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in 'Blueberry' - £3.99
Clarins Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel - £12.00
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in '02 Light' - £4.19

This post was getting rather long so I decided to combine my final 3 favourites into one picture! 'Blueberry' is my favourite nail colour to date, it is a gorgeous sky blue colour, and the gelly nail paints really are very shiny. I'll post a little picture of it on my nails actually.

See - so shiny! (Looks slightly purple on this picture, it isn't)

The Clarins cleanser was part of a 3-piece gift set that I got from my friend for my 20th birthday in December and its the first cleanser I've ever used. I really like it, it smells lovely and it leaves my skin feels refreshed and hydrated. And finally, the Collection lasting perfection concealer, another cult product amongst beauty bloggers. This is so good for a drugstore concealer! Really good coverage, covers my horrible dark circles quite nicely. However, as you can see, the packaging is not very good as the writing rubbed off after around a week of using it... But the product inside is fantastic for the money and I will definitely be re-purchasing it when I run out.

So that's it! Sorry it was so long, if you made it all the way to the end of this post, then thanks so much for reading my ramblings!

What do you think of these products? What is in your February favourites?
